Toddler killed in Richmond hit-and-run identified

A toddler fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver Sunday morning in Richmond has been identified as Noah Cordier, a 1-year-old boy from Sacramento, according to the Contra Costa County coroner’s office.

Cordier was hit around 11:50 a.m. in the vicinity of Cutting Boulevard and South 17th Street. He suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital but later died.

The westbound driver allegedly fled the scene, but police said they apprehended her a few miles away.

She was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, according to police. Her name has not been released as of Thursday morning.
