Two brothers died in an apparent murder-suicide at a trailer park in Oakley Thursday morning when a longstanding dispute over finances and personal property led to gunfire, police said.
The men were identified as Martin Tellez, 51, who lived in the trailer home, and Jesus Tellez, 47, of Antioch, Oakley police Sgt. Paul Beard said Friday.
Just before 8:30 a.m. Thursday, police responded to calls from the Sandy Point 3 trailer park off Bridgehead Road.
When officers arrived, they found Martin Tellez in the driveway suffering from gunshot wounds. First responders performed CPR, but he died at the scene.
His brother was found already deceased inside the home, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
Police are still investigating the case and will release more details when they become available.
