Contra Costa voters can cast ballots in drive-thru

Contra Costa County is providing a drive-thru option in Martinez for voters who want to drop off their vote-by-mail ballots Monay or Tuesday.

Ballots can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. today and 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday outside of the county elections offices at 555 Escobar St.

Drivers will not have to get out of their car or find a parking spot, and election staff will provide “I Voted” stickers to people turning in their ballots, county officials said.

A second drive-thru location will also be available on Election Day in the Rossmoor area. That location at 1001 Golden Rain Drive will also be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

People can also drop off their ballots at 23 drop-off box locations around the county, including one available 24 hours a day outside of the County Administration building at 651 Pine St., Martinez.
