Transient arrested after chasing, threatening McDonald’s workers

A transient was arrested at a McDonald’s in Hercules Thursday after chasing an employee around inside the restaurant and threatening to fight the owner, Hercules police said.

Officers were dispatched to the McDonald’s on Sycamore Avenue just before 11:30 a.m. on a report of a person chasing an employee.

Officers discovered a 27-year-old transient man in the rear kitchen area. The man refused to obey commands and officers had to physically restrain him as he resisted.

He was arrested and booked into the county jail for obstructing an officer and making a challenge to fight in a public place.
