A 23-year-old Santa Cruz man was arrested on suspicion of child annoyance for approaching eight teenage girls last week and asking them on dates, police reported.
The man allegedly spoke to the girls unsolicited and asked for their names and numbers at Santa Cruz High School’s campus and areas of Downtown Santa Cruz.
School personnel reported the incident and officers identified the suspect as Kelsey Eisenman. The teenagers confirmed that he was the man who approached them, according to police, who said Eisenman was arrested in 2016 for a similar offense.
When he was arrested Wednesday, police said Eisenman made “spontaneous and incriminating statements” about his contact with the girls.
Eisenman was booked into the county jail on suspicion of eight counts of child annoyance. Each count has bail set at $25,000.
