San Mateo burglary suspect caught on video arrested

A man was arrested on suspicion of burglarizing a San Mateo home on Wednesday after the theft was captured on surveillance footage and an officer recognized the suspect as someone known to them as being on probation, according to police.

The man, identified as 19-year-old San Mateo resident Tenzien Rinchen, was allegedly captured on home surveillance video burglarizing a home in the 2200 block of Isabelle Avenue around 11 a.m., according to police.

Officers went to Rinchen’s home where they took him into custody and found items that were stolen from the home earlier Wednesday, police said.

Rinchen has been booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
