A woman was struck and killed by a train late Wednesday afternoon at the South San Francisco Caltrain station, Caltrain officials said.
Just before 5 p.m. a southbound train struck the woman who was on the tracks.
No injuries were reported among the 743 passengers on the train. Caltrain officials said the death is the eighth this year on their tracks.
A final cause of death will be determined by the San Mateo County coroner’s office.
