Vallejo man arrested in connection with internet crimes against children

Police in San Francisco have arrested a man in connection with several internet crimes against children.

Bryan Rosenthal, a 45-year-old resident of Vallejo, was arrested on suspicion of arranging a meeting with a minor for sexual contact, going to an arranged meeting with a minor for sexual contact, sending harmful material to a minor, communication with a minor for the purpose of engaging in lewd and lascivious behavior, possession of child pornography and producing child pornography, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Rosenthal operates a Vallejo-based children’s charity, according to police.

Earlier this month, the SFPD Internet Crimes Against Children Unit learned of an individual who was attempting to meet and have sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl through online social media.

Investigators determined the suspect had attempted to send graphic images to the child. They identified Rosenthal as the suspect, and he was taken into custody on Tuesday.

Police said they seized Rosenthal’s cellphone and discovered he was having sexually explicit chats and conversations with underage minors and was trying to meet several of them for sexual contact.
