83-year-old woman assaulted by robbery suspects

An 83-year-old woman was assaulted by robbery suspects inside a Los Gatos home on Thursday morning, Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies reported.

Deputies went to the house at about 11 a.m. to reports of a home-invasion robbery. A man in his 20s allegedly assaulted the woman when she confronted the three suspects.

The two other suspects were wearing masks covering their faces, according to deputies, and the men ransacked the home and stole several objects.

The woman suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, according to deputies.
