Man stabbed twice in Tenderloin

A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a stabbing early Thursday morning in the Tenderloin, police said.

The stabbing was reported at 4:08 a.m. and occurred as the victim was walking down Leavenworth Street.

The suspect came up from behind the 39-year-old man and stabbed him twice in the back.

Police have not identified a suspect.
