A man was shot and suffered life-threatening injuries Tuesday evening in the Mission, police said.

Officers responded at 7:30 p.m. to Shotwell and 15th streets regarding a shooting.
When officers arrived they found the victim on Shotwell Street near 16th Street.
The victim was taken to a hospital. Police said no information on the suspect or suspects is available now.
Officers continue to investigate. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department’s tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of the message.
Police said people providing tips can be anonymous.
