Firefighters contain San Jose home fire

Crews extinguished a two-alarm fire that started at a home in South San Jose on Monday evening, according to a fire dispatcher.

Fire crews were dispatched to the blaze that was first reported at 1723 Ravens Place Way at 7:45 p.m. The home next door was also damaged but no residents were injured in the blaze. A firefighter suffered minor injuries from a dog bite as fire crews performed rescue operations.

More information about the blaze was not immediately available from the fire department.
