The collision was reported at 5:48 a.m. on the tracks in the area just south of North Hamilton Parkway, according to Novato police Capt. Jim Correa.

The woman’s name has not been released. The Marin County coroner’s office is working with police to investigate the death, the first such fatality to occur on the tracks in Novato, Correa said.
