Officers responded to Cortez Street between Towt Street and Dallas Avenue on a report of a shooting at about 6:15 a.m. and found two victims at the scene. The 35-year-old man died and another victim was taken to a hospital, according to police.
Police are currently investigating the homicide and did not provide further details. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Salinas police at (831) 758-7321.
