Motorcyclist airlifted after Brentwood crash
A 60-year-old man was transported to a hospital by helicopter after a motorcycle crash Monday morning just outside of Brentwood, according to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

The crash was reported just before 6:40 a.m. in the vicinity of Walnut Boulevard and Vasco Road.
First responders arriving at the scene found the victim down in the roadway. They prepared him for transport and established a landing zone nearby so the aircraft could pick up the patient.
No other injuries were reported, but the motorcycle he was riding sustained minor damage in the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol, according to fire officials. No other information was immediately available.
