Bus shuttles are substituting for San Francisco cable cars in some San Francisco neighborhoods Sunday because of a private construction project.
The substitutions affect service in the Financial District, Russian Hill and Nob Hill neighborhoods. The shuttles will stop at the regular cable car stops on California Street, and service will be unavailable at the terminal on Drumm Street. Passengers may board at Drumm and California streets in front of the Hyatt.
The stop on California at Powell Street will provide a transfer point between buses and cable cars. The regular bus fare ($2.75) is required for the shuttles.
The substitutions will continue until the end of service at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.
