Suspect arrested in killing of security guard

A 24-year-old San Francisco man has been arrested in connection with an early morning homicide that occurred Monday the Bayview, police said Tuesday.
Officers responding to a shooting in the vicinity of Fitzgerald Avenue and Arelious Walker Drive around 5:20 a.m. found a 61-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
Homicide detectives identified Cardell Mason Coleman as a suspect and plainclothes officers took him into custody in the 2700 block of Arelious Walker Drive at 12:48 a.m. Wednesday.
The victim was identified as 61-year-old Rolando Romero, from Hayward, according to the San Francisco medical examiner’s office.
Romero was a security guard at a construction site, according to a crowd-funding page setup in his name at https://www.gofundme.com/5rg5jr4.
