Honda Civic sought after pedicab hit-and-run

The San Francisco Police Department is seeking assistance from the public help locate a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run along the Embarcadero on late Wednesday afternoon.

Approximately at 4:13 p.m., a gold/champagne color, Honda Civic 4-door sedan, traveling southbound near Sansome Street was swerving through traffic and hit a pedicab. That pedicab that was hit by the vehicle collided with another pedicab.

SFPD released a nine-second video from footage of Muni a vehicle.

The collision occured southbound at Embarcadero and Sansome Street, according to police.

A 66-year-old male driving the first pedicab was seriously injured in the collision and remains in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The 32-year-old driver of the second pedicab was not injured.

Police said the first pedicab was driving a 32-year-old female and her five-year-old daughter and the second pedicab was driving a 33-year-old male and his eight-year-old daughter.

All of the passengers went to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening. The passengers are members of a family who are visiting from Canada.
