Police said a pedicab operator suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run collision this afternoon in San Francisco near Pier 29.
At 4:14 p.m. officers went to The Embarcadero and Sansome Street where the collision occurred between a pedicab and a light-colored sedan.
Fire officials had said five people were seriously injured in the collision, but the latest information indicates four of the victims, a family, suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.
Police are asking for help locating the car that struck the pedicab. The car was last seen traveling toward the Bay Bridge.
Police Officer Grace Gatpandan said the car was a light-colored sedan.
Anyone who saw the collision or anyone who may have surveillance video of it is asked to speak with an officer at the scene.
