A partially decomposed male body was found Thursday evening along the Joe Rodota Trail in the Roseland area of Santa Rosa, Sonoma County sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Spencer Crum said.
The body was found around 8:15 p.m., Crum said. The results of an autopsy today are pending toxicology test results but there is no initial indication of foul play, Crum said.
Santa Rosa police Sgt. John Wolf said the body was found about 30 feet north of the trail near Wright Road west of where a large homeless encampment was disbanded last week. Police also did not see any signs of foul play, Wolf said.
Small groups of campers continue to set up tents along the 8.5-mile trail that runs between Sebastopol and Santa Rosa, Wolf said.
