One man is dead and two are in the hospital following a shooting Thursday afternoon in San Francisco’s Mission District, police and a spokesman for Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital said.
Around 3:20 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1400 block of Treat Avenue near Cesar Chavez Street, according to police spokesman Officer Joseph Tomlinson.
Hospital spokesman Brent Andrew said that doctors received three patients from the shooting and one died at about 4 p.m.
All the victims are men in their 20s. One of the survivors is in critical condition and the other is in serious condition, Andrew said.
According to Tomlinson, no suspects have been taken into custody.
Residents are being asked to avoid the area.
