The 21-year-old victim, who is not affiliated with the university, was walking near the park shortly after 2 a.m. when a white SUV pulled up and a passenger got out and pointed a gun at the victim, police said.
The suspect took the victim’s phone, got back into the SUV and the pair fled.
The suspect with the gun was described as an approximately 25-year-old man standing 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a hoodie, according to police.
