A 46-year-old San Jose man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly attacking a 7-Eleven employee with a knife on Friday, according to Milpitas police.

A 46-year-old San Jose man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly attacking a 7-Eleven employee with a knife on Friday, according to Milpitas police.
Police said the suspect, 46-year-old Noland Patrick Kalani Terlep, entered the convenience store at 190 W. Calaveras Blvd. around 2:50 p.m. Friday when he allegedly tried to attack the store employee – a 19-year-old San Leandro man – who was stocking store shelves.
According to police, Terlep allegedly grabbed the employee and then attacked him with a knife before fleeing the store and driving away.
Police said Terlep was identified and later arrested as he sat in his parked car in the 2300 block of Canoas Grand Avenue in San Jose and was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
