Pedestrian struck in Corte Madera crosswalk
A 27-year-old man was injured when he was struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk in Corte Madera on Wednesday evening, according to the Central Marin Police Authority.

Police said the setting sun appears to be a factor in the 6:30 p.m. collision.
The pedestrian was in a crosswalk with flashing pedestrian warning lights when he was hit by a black BMW traveling in the westbound No. 2 lane of Tamalpais Drive at the intersection with Lakeside Drive, police said.
The pedestrian was taken to Marin General Hospital and his injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
The BMW driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said. Drugs or alcohol were not factors in the collision and the driver was traveling at or near the speed limit.
