Weddings atop Mt. Diablo are a thing now

The Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder is offering 20 couples an opportunity to get married at the top of Mount Diablo State Park in unincorporated Contra Costa County later this month.

The clerk-recorder’s office said the ceremonies will be held at the mountain’s observation deck on May 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Couples interested in applying for one of the 20 available appointments must obtain a public or confidential marriage license from the county at its office in Martinez.

Anyone looking for more information is asked to call Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder Supervisor Joseph Barton at (925) 335-7900.
