A San Francisco woman was fatally struck by a vehicle on the city’s Ocean Avenue Tuesday morning while crossing the street, according to police.

Officers responded to the area of Ocean Avenue and Victoria Street around 9 a.m. and found a woman suffering from injuries suffered when she was struck by a vehicle.

The victim, thought to be roughly 80 years old, was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, who said that impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor.
