Officers responded to the area of Ocean Avenue and Victoria Street around 9 a.m. and found a woman suffering from injuries suffered when she was struck by a vehicle.
The victim, thought to be roughly 80 years old, was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, who said that impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor.
