Active shooter forces YouTube evacuation

Police are responding to an active shooter at YouTube headquarters in San Bruno Tuesday afternoon.

Police first announced the shooting at 901 Cherry Ave. in a tweet around 1 p.m.

As of 1:30 p.m., details about any injuries or the number of possible victims involved could not be confirmed. However, numerous social media users, including verified accounts linked to YouTube staffers, reported that people were being evacuated from the scene.

At least one person reported seeing blood on the floor.

Vadim Lavrusik, who was working at that facility, said he heard shots and saw people running while at his desk before barricading himself inside a room with other coworkers. He later said he was able to evacuate.

Additional details about the situation were not immediately available.
