Woman shot by bicyclist with pellet gun

An assailant riding a bicycle and armed with a pellet gun shot at a woman as she stood at a bus stop early Tuesday morning in San Francisco.

The incident occurred around 3:10 a.m. on Sixth Street near Market Street, according to police.

The male suspect allegedly rode up to the 41-year-old woman and yelled at her before shooting her. The suspect then fled north on Sixth Street, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
