About 25 protesters demonstrated at an Emeryville business without property damage, injuries or arrests on Saturday, police reported.
The group identified itself as “Direct Action Everywhere” on Twitter, and said it was protesting the Emeryville IKEA for its alleged use of animal fur.
The activists aim to create “total animal liberation through nonviolent direct action and open rescue,” according to Twitter.
Police said the protesters caused a minor disruption at 2:30 p.m. and police were called.
Employees asked the protesters to leave a short while later, and police said they complied. The protesters left before police had to contact them, police said.
