Visibility will be very low in many Bay Area locations due to dense fog Sunday morning, the National Weather Service reported.
Multiple cities, including Oakland, Petaluma, Concord, Half Moon Bay, Novato and Santa Rosa could have visibility as low as one-fourth of a mile, the weather service reported.
To ensure safe driving, the weather service recommended several safety tips.
Drivers should slow down, use low-beam headlights or fog lights, refrain from using high-beam headlights, which can cause reflective glare, and follow lane lines on the road carefully, according to the weather service.
If the fog is extremely dense, the best course of action is to pull off the road and turn on hazard lights until visibility improves.
The weather service said the fog is expected to persist through the middle of Sunday morning.
