Pedestrian struck near Fisherman’s Wharf

An 82-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries when a car struck him near San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf on Wednesday evening, police said.

Around 6:55 p.m., officers responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian near the corner of North Point and Mason streets, according to police.

There, officers determined the man was walking on Mason when the vehicle struck him. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver was not arrested, police said.
