Graffiti threats cause middle school lockdown

Willowside Middle School in west Sonoma County was locked down Tuesday after threatening graffiti was found twice in a boys’ bathroom, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said.

The graffiti found first and made with a marker read:

“I’m going to kill everyone.”

Five sheriff’s deputies responded around 12:50 p.m., sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

The school was subsequently locked down, parents were called to come and pick up their children and the deputies left the school, Crum said.

It’s believed someone during lunch then wrote “every die” with paint applied with a finger in the same bathroom, Crum said.

That graffiti was discovered around 2 p.m., Crum said. Deputies then returned to the school and are investigating the two incidents, Crum said.

The grades 6-8 Willowside Middle School is located at 5285 Hall Road west of Santa Rosa in unincorporated Sonoma County.
