Pedestrian killed in Outer Mission collision

A pedestrian was fatally struck in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood on Saturday morning, according to police.

The victim, identified by the medical examiner’s office as 66-year-old Daly City resident Antonio Octaviano, was crossing the street at San Jose Avenue and Rice Street when a vehicle traveling north on San Jose Avenue hit him, police said.

Octaviano was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries there.

The driver, a 76-year-old man, was not arrested following the collision, police said.
