Substance sickens James Lick students

San Francisco police and fire are responding to a medical emergency this afternoon at James Lick Middle School in Noe Valley.

Currently, there are 10 known students who ingested a substance that is causing “adverse reactions,” according to San Francisco Unified School District spokeswoman Jessica Wan.

The students are currently receiving medical care and their parents are being contacted, according to Wan.
