Flying debris seriously injures SF pedestrian

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when they were hit by wind-driven debris this afternoon in San Francisco’s Mission District, fire officials said.

The injuries were reported at 2:54 p.m. at 23rd Street and San Jose Avenue.

Fire officials said another pedestrian was also injured by the debris. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Both people were adults and both were taken to a hospital.
