Bay Area transit planners seek public input

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission has launched an online survey to solicit public input for the agency’s next Public Participation Plan, which is updated every four years.

The survey is available at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/8P8JM3W until Feb. 23.

The agency’s current participation plan dates back to 2015 and focuses on opportunities to get involved in planning and funding activities.

There’s also an appendix dealing with a long-term transportation and land-use blueprint known as Plan Bay Area 2040.

That document can be reviewed online at https://mtc.ca.gov/about-mtc/public-participation/public-participation-plan.

An updated draft will be released for public comment sometime this spring. The final version is slated for adoption in June.
