Two women were seriously injured when vehicles struck them in separate collisions in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
The first collision was reported at 3:13 p.m. in the area of Persia Avenue and Moscow Street in the Excelsior.
A truck was traveling west on Persia Avenue when the driver heard a sound, stopped and got out of his vehicle and found a 61-year-old woman underneath it, police said.
He backed the truck off of her and she was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries that are considered life-threatening, according to police.
Then at 4:14 p.m., another pedestrian collision was reported, this time at Fifth Avenue and Kirkham Street in the Inner Sunset.
A vehicle traveling west on Kirkham hit a 56-year-old woman who was walking north on Fifth Avenue. She was taken to a hospital, also with life-threatening injuries, police said.
The drivers were not arrested in either case Tuesday.
