Standoff ends after prompting shelter-in-place

A standoff between police and a barricaded domestic violence suspect that began late Wednesday afternoon in San Francisco’s Mission Terrace neighborhood and prompted a shelter-in-place advisory has been resolved, according to police.

Police first responded to San Gabriel Avenue, between Santa Rosa and Capistrano avenues at 4:52 p.m., Officer Grace Gatpandan said.

A man wanted in connection with a domestic violence incident was inside a residence there and refused to come out. Police attempted to negotiate with him, according to Gatpandan.

At about 7:35 p.m., police said on social media that the incident had been resolved. It was not immediately clear if the suspect was arrested.
