A man died after being struck by a box truck late this morning in Union City, police said.
Officers left at 10:40 a.m. for the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Lafayette Avenue where the collision occurred.
Police said the man was crossing the street when the truck hit him.
Officers found the man unconscious. He appeared to have significant injuries.
Police said the man was taken to Eden Medical Center where he died.
The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers.
