A woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide Friday in San Francisco’s Sunset District has been identified as 65-year-old Nellie Hue.
Hue, a resident of Reno, Nevada, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 1800 block of 34th Avenue near Ortega Street shortly after a reported shooting around 4:30 p.m., according to police.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and police began a search for 67-year-old Winston Hue, who they described as “armed and dangerous.”
Winston Hue took his own life later that same day during a standoff with police.
Officers located him at 47th and Lincoln avenues at 9:48 p.m., but he was armed with a handgun and refused orders to get out of his vehicle.
While police were attempting to negotiate with him, Hue shot himself, police said.
Medical responders attempted to treat him, but he was pronounced dead at 10:19 p.m.
