A 56-year-old Novato woman died when she was struck by a vehicle on Novato Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, Novato police said.
The woman was hit in the 1900 block of Novato Boulevard around 1:20 p.m. The vehicle was traveling east on Novato Boulevard between Simmons Lane and McClay Road when the incident happened, police said.
The woman suffered traumatic injuries to her head and extremities and she was taken to Marin General Hospital where she died, police said.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
