Robbers on rental bikes send woman to hospital

A woman was transported to a hospital after allegedly being robbed by three suspects riding Ford GoBikes rented with a stolen credit card Tuesday night in Emeryville, according to police.

The robbery was reported at 8:38 p.m. in the vicinity of 48th Street and San Pablo Avenue.

Officers said the suspects rode into Oakland and then fled east on 53rd Street with the victim’s purse, so they broadcast the details to Oakland police, who found and detained a Stockton man and two boys in their late teens on suspicion of robbery and assault.

The adult, identified as 18-year-old Damontae Scott, was arrested and booked into jail. The two teens were transported to juvenile hall.

The victim’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
