Cole Valley fight, stabbing sends 28-year-old to hospital

A man was seriously injured in a stabbing in San Francisco’s Cole Valley Saturday night, police said.

The stabbing occurred when the 28-year-old victim got into a fight with another man shortly after 11 p.m. in the 800 block of Cole Street, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officers in the area were able to locate and arrest a 28-year-old male suspect, whose identity was not immediately released.

The motive for the fight and stabbing were not immediately clear, but police indicated no items were taken from the victim.
