Oakland flight canceled due to wayward rodent

One hundred and ten passengers had to exit a Portland-bound plane Tuesday morning at Oakland International Airport after a rodent was reported onboard, according to airport officials.

The Alaskan Airlines flight was scheduled to depart at 9:15 a.m., but it was canceled.

The passengers were accommodated on other Alaskan Airlines flights, airport officials said.

Alaska Airlines personnel were not immediately available to comment on how the rodent ended up on the plane or what was done to remedy the problem.
