The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in which a father shot and killed his son during an alleged physical confrontation on Sunday afternoon in the unincorporated Ben Lomond area.
Sheriff’s officials said the father called for help just before 4:20 p.m. Sunday, saying that he shot his son in the upper body after his son attacked him in the 100 block of Ridge Road. The son died at the scene.
The shooting is currently under investigation and no further information was immediately available, including the names of the father and son. No arrests have been made, sheriff’s officials said.
