Longtime Colma employee rises to city manager

The Colma City Council voted unanimously last week to appoint an employee with 14 years experience working for the Town of Colma as city manager.

Brian Dossey has previously served as administrative services director – overseeing Recreation Services, Human Resources, Information Technology and Risk Management.

Before that, Dossey served as director of recreation services.

Mayor Helen Fisicaro said in a statement:

“We are extremely excited for Brian, for he has worked hard over the past 14 years and is responsible ofr many successful initiatives and programs. … His experience working in the community and his dedication to Colma is what made the difference for the council.”

Fisicaro added:

“We are looking forward to working with him in his new capacity, building a bright future for Colma.” Dossey is replacing Interim City Manager William Norton.
