California Highway Patrol officials identified 47-year-old Sacramento resident Fred Lowe as a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run collision Saturday night in San Pablo.
Lowe was arrested later Saturday night following the hit-and-run collision that killed four and injured six.
The collision was reported at 8:11 p.m. on Interstate Highway 80 at the San Pablo Dam Road off-ramp. The collision involved five vehicles and Lowe allegedly fled the scene, CHP officials said.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the arrest.
Lowe was booked into the county jail in Contra Costa County on suspicion of four counts of felony hit-and-run, felony DUI and driving on a suspended license, CHP Officer Matthew Hamer said.
