Bodega Avenue reopens after crash

Petaluma police said a heavily traveled westbound road in the city is open again following an injury crash Wednesday afternoon.

Bodega Avenue between Howard and Upham streets was open as of 8:56 p.m.

Police initially said the road would be closed until Thursday morning and later said it would probably be open around 11 p.m. today.

Someone called police at 4:33 p.m. to report a crash at 1 Bodega Avenue where a vehicle hit a power pole.

Some danger existed because of some downed wires, police Sgt. Rick Cox said.

A person was taken to a hospital following the crash. No one suffered major injuries, Cox said.
