California Highway Patrol officials are asking for help finding the suspects in a freeway shooting Saturday morning in Fairfield, CHP officials said.
The shooting occurred at about 8:50 a.m. on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 west of Air Base Parkway.
CHP officials said two men were in a white Toyota Camry entering Highway 80 when two men in a gray SUV shot at the driver’s side of the Toyota.
The driver of the Toyota suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital. He is expected to survive. CHP officials said road rage may be behind the shooting.
